NICU Easter basket PrograM
Why Do We do this?
Nearly half a million babies in the US are born prematurely. Pre-term births can result in low birth weights, breathing troubles, heart problems, or birth complications that need special care. On average, babies spend 13.2 days in the neonatal intensive care unit (NICU). In line with our mission, WoMen of Connections wants to offer encouragement to NICU families by providing Easter baskets with essentials for the baby and gift bags with cards of encouragement to the mothers.
According to Nurse.org, neonatal nurses work 12-hour shifts, including nights and weekends. As healthcare professionals are an integral part of our community, we also want to supply them with encouragement baskets.
Our mission is to educate, encourage and empower the community to lead prosperous lives. Please support our campaign and help bring encouragement to the families in the NICU.

How you can help us
Our goal is to be able to provide baskets to 200 families across 5-7 hospitals with NICU wards in Virginia. Your donation of $60 will bless the baby and their mother in the NICU this Easter.
